Restaurants to Know About in Kent, WA

On behalf of the Dockside Apartments team, we’d like to say welcome to Kent, Washington! There are a lot of reasons our little town is an awesome place to live – check out our previous blogs to learn more about what to do and where to go. Today we’re sharing the perfect weekend food extravaganza. Prepare your bellies, the food coma is coming.

FRIDAY

Reaching the end of the work week and start of the weekend means you deserve a treat. Take a long lunch for authentic Mexican food from Fire Tacos de Birria food truck. You’ll never want tacos from anyone else! Once you clock out, drive over to Miss Boba for brown sugar boba with a crème brûlée finish. Visiting their cute shop might have to become a weekly tradition so you can try everything on the menu. Altha's Louisiana Cajun Store & Deli has the freshest creole cuisine around. After you pick up a po’boy with tasty hushpuppies on the side, shop around the store for the sauces, seasonings, and meat your kitchen needs.

SATURDAY

Start the day the right way with brunch and positivity at Sweet Notes Cafe. Whatever you’re craving, sweet or savory, this charming little cafe can make it your way. Afterwards, get dessert for later from Tasty Doux Bakery. You don’t want to miss out on fresh baked goods from this family establishment. The hardest choice will be deciding between cream puffs, eclairs, mousse, and more! For dinner, enjoy the tastes of Pakistan at the halal steakhouse, Maza Grill. Their dedication to high quality food and top tier service is reflected in stellar reviews across Facebook, Google, and Yelp. Try something new and see what you think!

SUNDAY

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Egghole does it well. Committed to connection with the local community, this quirky eatery feeds not only the customers that walk through the door, but also has a program set up to donate sandwiches to first responders in the area. Food you can feel good about - what’s better than that? We’ll round off our weekend of good-mood food by telling you about Nana's Southern Kitchen. Four generations of family serve homey comfort food recipes full of history. Make sure you go earlier in the day; they close at 5 p.m. on Sundays. Luckily, you can order ahead for takeout before they close and eat a little later.

We’re stuffed just talking about all these delectable options! Come back soon to see what new blogs we have to share or connect with us over on our Facebook or Instagram pages. In the meantime, we’ll see you next time!
